The Malta Financial Services Authority has ceased to collect authorisation certificates or distribute authorisation certificates at its offices.

All applications for authorisations are to be sent by post or email. The old e-mail address of authorisations@mfsa.com.mt has been replaced by the following e-mail addresses, depending on the authorisation being applied for.

  • Securities-related applications should be sent to ausecurities@mfsa.com.mt
  • Applications related to banking and financial institutions should be sent to aubankingFIs@mfsa.com.mt
  • Insurance-related applications go to auinsurance@mfsa.com.mt
  • Applications related to pensions, trusts and corporate service-providers are to go to aupensionstrustscsps@mfsa.com.mt

The regulator will no longer make authorisation certificates available for collection from its offices and will post them all off instead.
