The Association of Certified Anti-Money-Laundering Specialists is holding a 4-day-long briefing session, including a 2-day conference, in London between 26th and 29th May.

This is the 11th annual conference that the global accreditation giant has held. Speakers at the main event include the illustrious René Bruelhart, formerly the director of  Liechtenstein's financial intelligence unit and latterly the spearhead of the Vatican's efforts to clean up its grubby image.

On the first day there is a day-long examination preparation seminar. The next day is one of workshops - one covering the handling of tricky correspondent banking relationships and the other looking at how to conduct an effective financial crime investigation. The subsequent 2 days look at the topics du jour (including recent enforcement actity and the upcoming European Money-Laundering Directive), risk assessments, the use of Big Data for AML purposes, de-risking, how to ingratiate oneself and one's firm with regulators and prosecutors, sanctions and other subjects. To order a place, call +44 844 415 6790 or +1 (305) 373-0020. To view the full programme, visit http://www.amleurope.org/2015/programme.asp

People who register for the conference will receive a complimentary pass to attend the CAMS Examination Preparation Seminar, which is free to anyone who purchases the CAMS package, or is in the process of certification. Space, however, is limited.
