CIMA appoints deputy heads

The Cayman Islands Monetary Authority has established a new securities supervision division and has appointed Mr Kareem Robinson as its deputy head. It has also appointed Mrs Suzanne Sadlier as deputy head of the insurance supervision division and Mrs Judiann Myles as deputy head of the compliance division.

It has also apointed Ms Jessica Ebanks as chief analyst and Andrew Tweedie as senior analyst.

Before he joined CIMA, Mr Robinson was the head of corporate and fiduciary services at the international law firm of Mourant Ozannes. He also served as a vice president of Maples Fiduciary Services in the Cayman Islands, having held similar positions at other related organisations and offshore banks. Previously, he worked in wealth management at a global French private bank.

Mrs Sadlier has risen from the job of reinsurance specialist, a post she has held since joining CIMA in April 2015. Mrs Myles has just spent three years as the deputy head of the policy and development division. She began her regulatory career within the investments supervision division in 1999 and has climbed the ranks since then.

Ms Ebanks began working with CIMA in 2013 as a senior analyst in the former investments and securities division and has worked her way up through the ranks since. Mr Tweedie joined CIMA as an analyst in the same division in 2012. He has more than 30 years of experience in accounting and other business management operations.

Out of 194 employees at CIMA, 155 are Caymanian and many of those hold high positions.
