The wealth management law firm of Withers has hired Alix Prentice to lead the institutional advisory practice of its Financial Services Regulatory Group.

Prentice is a former regulator who is moving from the law firm of Taylor Wessing.  She has also worked for various US firms while staying in London. She specialises in institutional regulatory advice for businesses regulated by the Prudential Regulatory Authority and Financial Conduct Authority, including banks, insurers, asset managers, brokers, investment advisors, hedge funds, investment funds and multi-family offices.

Harvey Knight, the head of Withers' UK Financial Services Regulatory Group, once worked with Prentice in the General Counsel's Division of the Financial Services Authority at the moment of 'N2' in 2001 when the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 came into force. Much water has passed under the bridge since then.
